شاعرة وكاتبة وناقدة كويتية، أسست "دار سعاد الصباح للنشر والتوزيع" و"جائزة سعاد الصباح للإبداع الفكري" تشجيعًا للشباب العربي. تشارك في عضوية عدد من اللجان والجمعيات منها "رابطة الأدباء الكويتيين "و"رابطة الصداقة الكويتية –الأميركية" و"جمعية الإقتصاديين الكويتية". تنوّعت إصداراتها بين الشعر والأدب والتاريخ والإقتصاد، ومن دواوينها "لحظات من عمري" و"فتافيت إمراة".
أوجد برنامج "مرايا" أسلوباً جديداً أكثر رقيا للحوار المتلفز، ومن خلاله نجح ريكاردو كرم في أن يقدّم لجمهوره حوارات كشفت الكثير عن الحياة الخاصة لأكثر من ٢٠٠ شخصية عربية وعالمية، فحققت أعلى نسب المشاهدة آنذاك، وصار البرنامج محطة ينتظرها كل راغب في التعرّف الى فصول من حياة تلك الشخصيات وكشف ما خفيَ منها.
Souad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, born 1942 in Kuwait as a member of the ruling family, is an economist, writer and poet. She obtained a degree in economics and politics at Cairo University in 1973 and a doctorate in economics from University of Surrey in the United Kingdom in 1981. As the director of the Kuwait Stock Exchange, she has written several economy-related publications in English such as Development Planning in an Oil Economy and the Role of the Woman (1983) and Kuwait: Anatomy of a Crisis Economy (1984). Her literary publications include: “Wamdatt Bakira” (Early blinks) and” Lahathat min Umri” (Moments of my life, 1961).
“Maraya” took the basic Arabic talk show to new levels where Ricardo Karam explored the personal life of over 200 important guests while gaining the highest television ratings for a show in this category. Aired during peak time, “Maraya” became essential viewing for those who like to know the real story behind the story.
