When it comes to a precision rifle, the word "Expensive" comes to mind. Everyone running around with their custom actions in high dollar chassis and topped with glass that costs well over a month's pay.
But how much do we need to spend to get a good precision rifle? Something that will consistently group under 1MOA as long as we do our part. And a stock that we can fit to us so that we don't have to compromise our shooting position to get good eye relief. A rifle and optic that will accurately reach out to 1,000 yards and beyond...
For me, the threshold is about $1,300. For under that price point I can get a Savage 110 Tactical Desert in 6.5 Creedmoor, Bushnell Nitro 4-16x44 with a FFP (First Focal Plane) Deploy Mil Reticle, Tasco 30mm Rings, CVLife Bipod, Sling Swivels and a Magpul MS1 Sling.
