It was renowned for its exceptional maneuverability, long range, and speed, which made it one of the most formidable fighters early in the war. Introduced in 1940, it had a lightweight design and powerful armament, featuring 7.7 mm machine guns and 20 mm cannons. However, its lack of armor and self-sealing fuel tanks made it vulnerable as Allied aircraft technology advanced. Despite its vulnerabilities, the A6M Zero played a significant role in various battles, including Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Midway. Specially made for a Japanese friend met from Berlin
