In Today's Project, We have
In Today's Project, We have built an enclosure for subwoofer. We also discussed about "how to design a ported subwoofer enclosure".
There are generally two ways for designing the enclosure. One is using one of the online calculators to figure out the internal volume of the enclosure and then from that, using another online calculator to figure out the port diameter and port length to get a certain tuning frequency. we have tuned our enclosure to about 38hz which is suitable for deep bass but we need to keep in mind that the subwoofer is also able to produce that frequency. so, we need to check the frequency response of the subwoofer. In our case, the frequency response of our subwoofer is 18hz-500hz.
There is also another method of designing the enclosure. That is Advanced Method. It requires more details and specs about the driver majorly the T/s Parameters of a driver. From Advanced design, we can obtain a response graph of our enclosure so that we can tune it according to get the desired output.
