Samman Kisan Yojana: Guidelines launched for States

The Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare on February 7, 2019, launched a platform named PM Kisan, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) for uploading the details of the Small and Marginal Farmers. About 53,500 farmers of the district will come under the purview of the Prime Minister's Kisan Award Fund Scheme. The Agriculture Department has started work on the ground from March 1 to give benefit to the scheme. Farmers will be given two thousand rupees in the first instalment.
