Shōgayaki, a well-known recipe in
Shōgayaki, a well-known recipe in Japan made with pork and ginger.
It's very easy and quick to do.
For 4 people you need:
- 400g of pork meat
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons of sake (to marinate the meat)
For the sauce:
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons mirin
- 4 tablespoons of sake
- 2 teaspoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
The preparation :
- Cut the meat as finely as possible (you can put it in the freezer a little before to make the cut easier)
- Marinate the meat with the 2 tablespoons of sake for about 10 minutes
- Chop the onion
- Peel and grate the ginger to obtain the equivalent of 2 tablespoons
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a little vegetable oil
- Add the meat and then the onions
- Mix well
- When the onions become translucent, add all the ingredients for the sauce
- Mix well, all the pieces of meat must be coated with sauce
- Reduce the sauce and let caramelize
- When the sauce has thickened, it's ready
- Serve on a plate
You can accompany this dish with green salad and a bowl of rice 😋
