The Most Beautiful Closed Railway in ...-~-
The Denby Branch has been out of use since 1999.
In 2022 it sits in a long forgotten state, weeds, ballast & bridges. I pick up the trackbed at Little Eaton, a small village just outside of Derby City Centre and the first former station along the route heading North towards Ripley.
Through heavy undergrowth and beside busy roads i find a way along the routs via Coxbench & on towards Kilburn. There is still much to see and reflect on along this former Midland Railway route.
