How Fireproof is Fireproof Insulation

I purchased some fireproof insulation to stuff behind my wood stove. In this video I set a Torch to the insulation to see how much heat is transferred to the back of the insulation. The product is rated at 2400 degrees f and indicates that it will not retain heat for long. This Kaowool Ceramic Fiber Insulation seems to prevent heat from transferring to the other side and should do well to keep my wood stove from overheating my fireplace.
