The once ignored and sleepy area is now an expensive hood with a chain of mansions and vast commercial buildings in Kigali, Rwanda.
Though it is part of Kigali, Gakinjiro has grown into a town of its own and a home to the biggest furniture market. The satellite town has breathed new life into Gisozi Sector, thanks to the relocated carpenters.
What was Gakinjiro (a kind of kitchen) has now turned into Gakiriro (a way to prosperity and riches)!
With its fast development, the unrelenting efforts of furniture dealers will soon see Gakinjiro-Gisozi on top of the city’s popular suburbs, surpassing Nyabugogo, Nyamirambo and Remera.
