Two Gene Kelly´s duets I
Two Gene Kelly´s duets I love most are Main street (with Vera Ellen) from ON THE TOWN (1949) musical and Moses Supposes (with Donald O´Connor) from SINGIN´ IN THE RAIN (1952).
In this one from INVITATION TO DANCE (1956) he dances with David Kasday. Choreographically he choose very similar approach to Main Street number. It is very cute and well synchronized duet which I rank between his best.
On YouTube you can find it´s predecessor Main Street number - maybe best GK duet - unusual Kelly´s choreograpy with his cute style and VE´s unbelievable perfection and versatility.
