RNA Polymerase III transcription can be understood in three simple steps involving initiation, elongation, and termination. In this video, we discuss the different types of promoter structures involved in RNA Pol III transcription, and how they each initiate transcription. We then discuss the process of elongation and dive into termination to reveal the details and similarities of termination with the bacterial termination. All of this is done through the lens of transcription factors that govern the mechanisms of Pol 3 transcription.
