Dr. Ebraheim’s educational animated video describes  fractures of the proximal,  One, Tow, Three, and Four parts
Classification based on four fracture segments:
1- The articular segment.
2- The greater tuberosity.
3- The lessor tuberosity.
4- The humeral shaft.
Classification describes only displaced segments which are defined as 1.0 cm displacement or 45 degree angulation.
Multiple fracture configurations are possible.
80% of proximal humeral fractures are minimally displaced.
1- Type I- One Part Fractures:
One part or minimally displaced fracture where no segments are displaced or angulated.
2- Type II-Two Part Fractures:
Tow part or fracture where one segment with significant displacement by 1.0 cm or 45 degrees.
3- Type III-Three Part Fracture:
Three part fracture, where two segments are significantly displaced by 1.0 cm or 45 degrees.
4- Type IV- Four Part Fracture:
Four part fracture where all four major segments are displaced by 1.0 cm or 45 degrees.
