Often reverb does more harm than good on a vocal track as reverb tails can “blur the lines” of definition too much in a mix. A fantastic alternative to use instead, or with a small blend of reverb, is delay as you can stamp a subtle tone or shimmer to a lead vocal without the effects bloating out the mix. This video shows you how to can kiss you vocal tracks with a touch of short slap back delay using Waves excellent H-Delay plug-in… a personal favourite of mine!
