COVID-19: Malaysia extends recovery movement control order until Dec 31

Malaysia has extended its Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) until Dec 31. The order had been due to end on Aug 31. Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the country is still facing the risk of COVID-19 transmissions. He cited the various clusters springing up in various states such as Kedah and Sarawak.The health ministry had recommended the extension based on the World Health Organization's prediction that the coronavirus outbreak will last for at least two years.
