ERRATUM: On the question of when do bills take effect, please triangulate Article 4 of the New Civil Code plus the cases of Tañada vs. Tuvera and La Bugal B’laan. Promise, kapatid. I honestly thought I said Article 2. Must have been the Decolgen.

Statutory Construction is a two or three-unit course in law school in the Philippines that will teach you how to apply the law. The word statutory comes from statute, which means law. Construction, on the other hand, does not mean building and making, but instead, comes from the word construe. Construe means to interpret, to give meaning and to apply.

Maraming bumabagsak sa Statutory Construction primarily because the professors who teach it understand the importance of the subject.

Here's what to expect with Statutory Construction.
