Mountainous or Forest Soil
Arid or Desert Soil
Saline and Alkaline Soil
Peaty and Marshy Soil
Soil moisture regime -
Udic: Humid or subhumid climate.
Ustic: Semiarid climate.
Aridic (or Torric) Arid climate
Xeric: Mediterranean climate (moist, cool winters and dry, warm summers)
