What happens when the happy folk of Team Fortress 2 get their hands on a super advanced heavy equipment? Lots of fun and murder, that's what.
Anyway, couple of useless facts you are probably not interested in. [WORDS WORDS WORDS]
Made in Source Film Maker. The beginning might seem kinda lame/slow but it kinda picks up around 3rd minute and gets really better later on. The whole thing is 10 minutes long so its ok to do some skipping forward. Yes there is a fuckton of continuity issues, and some visual problems caused by SFM not cooperating/me being lazy, but my advice for you is just not to think to deep into it and turn your brain off. And yeah, the whole thing was inspired by the greatest movie of all time provided by the genius of Micheal Bay himself - Transformers Revenge of The Fallen. Such a wonderful motion picture event that was - I just had to make some tribute.
The animation might seem kinda wonky but hey, apart of this, my previous stupid shitty SFM movie and few miserable failed attempts I had zero experience with animating... So with that in mind it could be a lot worse... I think... maybe... maybe not... And I don't own any motion capture like device, so doing any mocap is out of the question.
I don't know if it really needs to be pointed out, but I haven't used any models/characters/animations that aren't already in a "bare-bones" install of SFM. I made (or rather modified existing ones) a few (like 3) lame particle effects with the Particle Editor tool that comes with SFM.
The music I used are cut-out clips from Transformers movie soundtrack (Arrival to earth, The Shard), Escape by Craig Armstrong and Robot Rock by Daft Punk.
All in all this crappy video took me around 300+ hours of work. Yeah. It might be a wasted time but I had fun making it. Sometimes.
Hopefully it was worth the weight.
