Paws of War recently reunited three U.S. Army soldiers with the dogs they rescued while serving in Eastern Europe. The three soldiers traveled to Nesconset, NY from Colorado and Rhode Island to officially adopt these beloved animal friends, who they saw for the first time since their deployment. Army Sergeant First Class Jared Bertagnolli of Pueblo, Colorado, was reunited with his dog Racha, Army Specialist Eddy Reyes of Providence, RI, reunited with his two dogs Ace and Shadow and Army Sergeant Troy Koenig of Coventry, RI, reunited with his dog Runtie.

Paws of War is asking for public support to help rescue 18 more dogs from the same military base and bring them home safely to the U.S. These rescue missions cost thousands of dollars per animal and all expenses are covered by Paws of War. The organization needs support to complete this time sensitive mission. To support the organization’s mission, please visit,  https://pawsofwar.org/donate.
