Presidential candidate Donald Trump issued a plea to the Supreme Court on Sunday to intervene in his hush money case before he is sentenced.

Judge Juan Merchan is scheduled to sentence Trump on July 11, just four days before the Republican National Convention, at which the former president is presumed to be named the party’s presidential nominee. This will come over a month after the jury in New York found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records.
