find of a lifetime

3-minute video of something never ever expected to have happened. hat's off forever to my running buddy who hugely deserves to have a lot more great things happen for him in life. the thumbnail image was taken one month after the find when the point had finally completely dried out and the translucence was gone and the patina was apparent. as of this writing you can get a cast of this clovis from stonehenge museum supply if you would like to examine it in hand. the point has amazingly fine retouch and sharp edges. i absolutely love it.
