Changing default currency symbol in excel doesn’t need excel to set up. If you change your windows pc region settings it will be changed automatically in excel. Also, you can’t directly change the currency. All you need to change the country and excel will automatically take the currency of that country as your default currency. It will be placed with both accounting and currency format.
Let’s learn how to change the default currency symbol in excel.
Click on the windows button. Click on settings. Select time & language. Click on region. Now you need to select the country of which currency you are going to set as default in excel.
Another way is to go to control panel and select Clock and Region. Now from the dropdown select the country of which currency you need to select as default.
Lastly you can always search the currency from the search button on the taskbar. This will you access the popup from where you can select the country.
Remember, this will change the setting for all applications. Also, this will change the currency sign automatically when you reverse the process.
