Master Paradiddle Around the Drumset - plus - 3 legendary examples

Paradiddles! In this lesson I teach how to play a Paradiddle on the snare, then I give you two examples to practice moving it around your drum set. I then walk you through 3 specific examples from David Garibaldi, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Alan Dawson. Each example is from either a groove or a solo showing you different applications of this rudiment! When I was younger, I never felt that anyone told me WHY to practice rudiments, but rather that I needed to. It wasn't until later that I realized they are to building blocks of drumming and how important they are. All those "crazy patterns" I heard drummer doing that I couldn't understand were most always rudiments! In this video I tried to not only teach you the Paradiddle, but go further and show exercises to apply on the drum set and finally to show real world examples from the drumming greats!
