Brazilian surfer Maya Gabeira had to be rescued after nearly drowning while surfing a monster wave in Praia do Norte in Portugal on Monday.
The 26-year-old wiped out on a wave which was up to 98 feet (30 metres) high.
She was pulled from the water by fellow surfer Carlos Burle, who came to her aid on a jet ski.
Gabeira had to be resuscitated on the beach.
