Guardala Saxophone Mouthpieces Review

http://howtoplaysaxophone.org/guardal...  This is my personal in-depth review of four Dave Guardala saxophone mouthpieces. These include two originals which are the MBI and the King models. The other two are the MBII and the MBII FatBoy. These are newer models made by "the man" Nadir who has taken over the Guardala mouthpiece name and manufacturing.

I have been playing professionally on a Dave Guardala original Michael Brecker model mouthpiece since 1990. This, along with a Vandoren Java #3 reed has been the perfect saxophone equipment set-up for me.

The second Guardala piece I got  was his original King model which was designed after the King Curtis rock and roll sound he was so famous for. I have to say both these models have been just great for me. Giving a real full bright and big tone.

The mouthpiece you use on your saxophone is the most important piece of equipment you can get... yes, even more helpful in changing your sound than the saxophone itself! This is why so many saxophonists are always looking for that perfect mouthpiece. Some never find it because they never stop trying new ones.

A few decades ago there just weren't much more than a handful of metal saxophone mouthpieces available but these days that's all changed because there are a lot of people making them now.
