Neurosis VS Psychosis VS Neuroticism. Neurosis Symptoms and treatment

Neurosis is a generic name of variety of symptoms.  Mainly characterized excessive stress, worrying, fear,  phobias, obsessions and emotional instability. the Person with neurosis can not easily adapt to stress.  And accompanied by  chronic distress.
Most common symptoms of neurosis include:
• Anxiety
• Excessive worry
• Tendency toward more negative emotions and negative thinking.
• Poor response to stressors
• Obsessions
• Emotional instability and depression.
Even person has variety of mental symptoms,  he still keeps touch in reality, and not characterized by psychosis, like   hallucinations or delusions.
Neurosis is more informal name, then  the classical disease, which can have  symptoms, causes, pathogenesis and treatment.  
Under neurosis you can  collect several different mental disorders  like:
obsessive–compulsive disorder.
Anxiety disorder.
Post traumatic stress disorder.
Menopausal, climacteric state, called menopausal neurosis.
Dissociative disorder and Phobias.
So, when person says, he or she has neurosis, it can mean variety of symptoms. And common characteristic is poor adaptation to stress.
 The term Neurosis is no longer used by the professional psychiatric community in the United States, having been eliminated from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in 1980.
Because it is too nonspecific term, and can mean variety of symptoms.
Although term is used in The ICD-11. In the International Classification of Diseases.
But not as independent disease, but in combination with  descriptive word.  For example.  anxiety neurosis,  menopausal neurosis,  Combat neurosis and etc.
Neurosis is different from Psychosis and neuroticisms.  
Psychosis is when person can not distinguish what is reality and what is not real.  Common characteristics for psychosis are: hallucinations and delusions, which is false idiosyncratic belief, which does not change even when presented with incontrovertible evidence to the contrary.
And Neuroticism is term in psychology. And  considered a fundamental personality trait.
individuals with high scores for neuroticism are more likely than average to be moody and to experience such feelings as anxiety, worry, fear, anger, frustration, envy, jealousy, guilt, depressed mood, and loneliness. They are shy and tending to have trouble controlling urges and delaying gratification.
Treatment of Neurosis depend on the underlying and specific form of it.  
But more generally, treatment is Stress management like:
If you manage your anxiety and stress, it may help curb your neurotic behaviors. Self-treatment may work if your anxiety is mild and brief. Experts recommend that you:

Exercise every day.  Simplest form of exercise is, Thirty minutes is brisk walk.
Talk to  family and friends what’s fueling your anxiety, they can understand and  help.
Healthy diet and maintain Healthy weight.
Get enough sleep. A lack of sleep can worsen anxiety and stress.
For adults, 8 hours sleep is optimal duration.
