Palestinians protest after dawn prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Thousands of Palestinians gathered following the Fajr dawn prayer near the entrance of Al-Aqsa Mosque and chanted slogans condemning Israeli violence.

2,300 Israeli police officers have been deployed in and around Jerusalem’s Old City ahead of the Friday afternoon prayer, according to Israeli news outlets
