I’ve been thinking a lot
I’ve been thinking a lot about Total War battles lately and how they might improve in the future. We’ve got the siege rework coming in Warhammer 3 as well as new battle maps which I guess will come with more areas of elevation and new map assets that makes things more interesting yadi yada.
But it’s not really that innovative is it? Now I’m not gonna go into a rant with this video about how CA is sitting on their asses reusing old mechanics and features, Voulund has already done that for me. I’m gonna talk about a specific feature that I think could really up the immersion and enjoyment of battles overall in Total War games: the Tactical Retreat.
So this is going to be a short video to run through essentially an idea, a proper innovation in Total War battles that could really make things more interesting.
