The Biden Administration has reached out to senior officials at the Secret Service to make them aware at this time.
National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson said, “As we have said many times, we have been tracking Iranian threats against former Trump administration officials for years, dating back to the last administration."
According to Reuters, there was no indication that the 20-year-old suspect in the shooting of Trump on Saturday, named Thomas Crooks, was connected to the plot.
