This is my fingerstyle arrangement of 'Soar' the theme tune from Masters of the Air.

I’m playing a 1952 Gibson J50, tuned to C G D# G A# D.

I’ve been watching this show with my brother these past couple of months, and it has been a pretty eye opening experience.

Masters of the Air follows a group of young American Airmen stationed in Britain as they fly daylight bombing raids over Europe against the nazis during World War 2..

The whole series was scored by Blake Neely and after a few episodes this theme started playing in my dreams..

When arranging something for one guitar that was originally put together for an orchestra there will always be compromises. I’ve tried hard to balance the vibe of the tune against the limitations of the guitar. It’s taken a while…
