What is schizophrenia? What are the important aspects of schizophrenia?
Schizophrenia is one of the serious mental illness and, it is found in just 1% of the population. There are two main symptoms of this illness One of them is delusion which includes Delusion of persecution which means having a delusion that the friends and people are creating some conspiracy theory about the patient. The second symptom is auditory hallucinations which include hearing voices that are not real. Medication is a way to treat this disease. Medication may develop some side effects but, the side effects can be controlled through the dosage of the medications. Taking medications regularly throughout the treatment is an ideal thing stopping medications in the middle of the treatment can bring back the symptoms. The time between having the symptoms and getting the treatment is called DUP ( ) the less the DUP the more are the chances of recovery.
Visiting a Doctor as early as possible is the best way to tackle such diseases. One should not listen to baseless advice or myths in such a situation. Schizophrenia is treatable!
