It can feel impossible to get a doctor on your side when you're chronically ill, have a rare disease, or don't seem sick enough to be examined more closely. It can be hard for a patient to advocate for themself at the doctor. This video is crowdsourced advice on how to advocate for yourself as a patient at the doctor with chronic illness, and get the most out of Doctor Appointments. As a patient with chronic illness, what are the best ways to advocate for proper diagnosis and insist on treatment? How can you fight for tests to be done? What are the best tactics to get a doctor to listen to you?
