One of the biggest issues
One of the biggest issues I have in my garage is the way the garage doors were installed when the house was built. The garage door tracks are at a downward angle because they were mounted to a support beam that divides the ceiling in half, instead of the ceiling. This was clearly done to provide enough space to mount the chain drive openers for the doors. I disliked the way the doors had been installed and how low the doors and openers hung because of this bad installation method. I decided to remove the openers and raise the tracks of the door by installing them correctly onto the ceiling. This resulted in the back end of the doors being raised 12 inches and the tracks to finally be in proper alignment, allowing for the door to open smoothly.
