The Ark creators Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner are pretty satisfied with how the freshman season of the show went on SYFY, and rightfully so as the sci-fi series reached 6.5 million viewers across all platforms. Shortly before the freshman season finale, SYFY announced The Ark was officially renewed for another season. ComingSoon sat down with Devlin and Glassner to discuss the events of Season 1, what to expect from the upcoming season, and more. The show stars Christie Burke, Reece Ritchie, Richard Fleeshman, Stacey Michelle Read, Ryan Adams, Pavle Jerinić, Shalini Peiris, Christina Wolfe, and Tiana Upcheva.
“The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life.
