Although the United States doesn't have a royal family, over the years, many intelligent and beautiful American women have captured the attention of foreign princes. For example, Grace Kelly, a renowned Hollywood actress born in Pennsylvania, married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1955 and became Princess of Monaco. Another example is Lisa Halaby, born in Washington D.C., who married King Hussein of Jordan in 1978 and became Queen of Jordan. A more recent American woman who married a foreign prince is Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who gained this title through her marriage to Prince Harry of the United Kingdom in 2018. The American woman we are mentioning today, who became a royal member through marriage, might not be as well-known to the public as the previously mentioned ones. Her name is Hope Cooke, and she was the Queen consort of the last King of Sikkim.
