As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, you can delete your location history in Google Maps by following these general steps. Please note that the steps might vary slightly depending on the version of the app and the device you are using:
On Mobile (Android and iOS):
1. Open the Google Maps app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner to open the menu.
3. Select "Your Timeline" from the menu. This will show your location history.
4. In the bottom right, tap on the three vertical dots (options button).
5. Choose "Settings and privacy."
6. Under the "Location settings" section, tap on "Delete all Location History."
7. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
On Desktop (Web Browser):
1. Open Google Maps in your web browser.
2. Click on the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top-left corner to open the sidebar.
3. Select "Your data in Maps."
4. Click on "Timeline" in the sidebar.
5. In the bottom-right, click on the gear icon (Settings).
6. Choose "Delete all Location History."
7. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
