This is a detailed walk through on how to use Parker's Fastener and Fittings seals catalog from our Composite Sealing Systems Division to generate your own custom part number for your desired application. Whether you are sealing directly under a bolt head or on the threads of a bolt, this guide will help you find and create the best solution for your application. After watching this video you can generate our 600 and 610 fastener seals, 750 thread seals, and 800 Lock-O-Seals.
Each series has a specific function 600 series Stat-O-Seals are used for sealing directly under a bolt head, 610 Series are identical to 600 series but converted to metric units. 750 thread seals are used to seal on the threads of bolts and screws. The 800 Lock-O-Seals are designed to seal small applications or uncommon material combinations. This guide will show you which elastomers to select, best retainer material based on your application requirements and the size number based on your bolt diameter.
The guide uses a color coded system to guide the user toward the most economical and readily available part number selections. Parker designs and manufactures custom fastener and fitting seals for a wide range of industries and applications including: Automotive A/C connectors, drain plugs, Aerospace fasteners and fittings with special material or quality requirements, special compounds for explosive decompression, chemical processing and off shore drilling.
Parker´s fastener seals are composite sealing washers consisting of a metallic carrier and a vulcanized elastomer sealing lip. They provide a static sealing function on flanges or threaded connections, and consistently assure ideal compression conditions between the housing components to prevent the destruction of the sealing lip.
