In this demo video, Dinesh walks us through the different aging levels of the Gibson Murphy Lab. Headed up by Master Artisan and Luthier Tom Murphy, the Gibson Murphy Lab is nestled away in the Nashville Custom Shop, a place where Gibson guitars are put through an intense, yet loving process of hand-aging and distressing to simulate years of playwear unique to each instrument – and no two guitars ever look exactly the same.
One of the main benefits of the Murphy Lab is that the guitars are great for those who want to fully experience and appreciate not just the sound and look, but also the feel of a vintage musical instrument. It's like taking a step back in time, allowing the guitar to tell you its many stories from the road.
