How To Clean Battery Corrosion From Contacts (Alkaline Batteries)

This is how to clean the blue-green-white corrosion from battery contacts caused by alkaline batteries. You can save those expensive electronic gadgets, and not have to throw them away. Our carbon monoxide detector started beeping with a low battery signal. When i went to replace the batteries, I found there was corrosion on the battery contacts. Not sure if the batteries had leaked, or what. Fortunately, it wasn't too big of a mess in the battery compartment. So I cleaned the corrosion off, and made a video at the same time.
