New to Hong Kong and going to stay here for a while? Let me be your friend in Hong Kong! I’m gonna walk you through the experience of visiting Cha Chaan Teng and along the way introduce to you 10 basic but practical Cantonese phrases for ordering food there. Traditional HK Cafe, aka Cha Chaan Teng, is omnipresent and serves Hong Kong-style western food at an affordable price!
Hopefully, you will realise Cantonese isn’t as hard as you think!

For newcomers to Hong Kong, I know it’s challenging especially for introverts who may be overwhelmed by the new environment, feeling too drained to make any local friends at the moment. No worries! I got your back!  

For your information, I also indicate the transliteration of Cantonese sounds (Jyutping) of the chinese characters. It’s related to the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) system and vital to Cantonese learners. I know it looks so complicated…...let me know if you want another video to introduce the concept :)
