I have been a Chronic Kidney Disease patient for 11 years now. Eversince my diagnosis, I have been following a kidney diet that is low in protein, potassium, phosphorus, fats, sugar and sodium. I am currently stage 4 and my GFR has been between 26 - 30. With my diet and lifestyle, and with the help of doctors and regular blood tests, my kidney function has so far been stable.
