How To Make Jeera Rice

Ingredients

Basmati rice                      - 2 cups(wash and soak the rice  in water for  at least ½ an hour)
Onion chopped                  - 1 nos.
Ginger garlic paste            - 1 tbsp.
Green chilly                       - as needed.
Coriander leaves               - as needed.
Jeerakam/cumin seeds     - 2 tbsp.
Garam masala                   -  ½ tbsp.
Lemon juice                        - ½ of a lemon.
Ghee                                  - as needed.

Method

Heat 4 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add Cumin seeds. Saute for a minute(take care not to burn it).

Add onion, ginger garlic paste, green chilli. Saute for a couple of minutes.

Add 4 cups of water. Turn heat to high and add salt. Bring water to boil. Add coriander leaves, garam masala, 2 tbsp lemon juice and rice. Mix well  and  bring  to boil. Turn heat to low. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes. Mix well.

Serve hot and  Enjoy!!!!
