RC Hovercraft build part 3

This video is all about the build of a model hovercraft.
I have been attempting to build model hovercraft for a long time, the first model I built was when I was still at school, however it didn’t work very well. For this first model I had used a 21 size model aircraft engine with a 5” ducted fan unit, this single fan provided the lift and thrust and the steering was provided by a rudder. I kept trying but always kept using the little IC engines and only ever used one engine for all functions.  A few years back I purchased a couple of EDF’s and if I am honest I brought them just to play with and discharge batteries with! But when I tried them out I was very surprised by the amount of air they moved, SO it was back to the drawing board and re-think the model.
The model you see here is the 3rd model I have now built using these EDF’s and it’s by far the most successful craft I have built. The full build can be seen at my instructable page.
