U.S. President Joe Biden hit the campaign trail Friday, and his message was loud and clear: "I am running and gonna win again." But calls for him to drop out of the presidential race aren't letting up. In Ontario, it's going to be a lot harder to buy alcohol in the province over the next couple of weeks. Thousands of workers with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) went on strike Friday. The issue at the centre of the job action? Premier Doug Ford's ambitious plans to make alcohol more accessible throughout Ontario. This is a goal employees say could put their jobs under threat. A bankruptcy proceeding has determined the church must pay out $104 million for sexual and physical abuse cases dating back decades. After 10 months apart, a Palestinian man has finally reunited with his young family in Quebec. The university professor arrived in the province just before the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict. As Franca Mignacca reports, he had been trying desperately to get his family out of Gaza ever since.
Plus, the winner of the 2024 Calgary Stampede youth poster competition is Lloyd Templeton. He grew up watching the parade on the sidelines but, as Dallas Flexhaug explains, this year he’s part of the show.
