This video is part of a collaborative Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) speaker series called Stakeholders, Management, and Capitalism: Conversations with leaders on how to manage stakeholders in diverse settings. In this video , Paul Polman virtually joined the new Yale School of Management’s new elective course Stakeholders, Management, and Capitalism on Monday, November 13, 2023. The conversation was moderated by Professor Edward Snyder, Co-Faculty Leader, Yale Program on Stakeholder Innovation and Management; William S. Beinecke Professor of Economics and Management and former Dean of the Yale School of Management.

Paul Polman developed Sustainable Living as the organizing principle for Unilever while also achieving strong financial performance. In recent years he has focused on the importance of enterprises becoming net positive.

Mr. Polman answered questions from Yale SOM students enrolled in the elective as well as Global Network students participating via Zoom.
