Dennis L. Meadows, one of the original members of the Club of Rome and author of The Limits to Growth, visited the RCC in December as part of our Sustainability Lecture Series. Meadows's influential 1972 book, co-authored with Donella H. Meadows, Jørgen Randers, and William W. Behrens III, modeled the consequences of a rapidly growing world population and finite resource supplies. Currently President of the Laboratory for Interactive Learning, Dennis Meadows has worked for most of his career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

His December lecture, "The Limits of Growth and the Future of Humanity," given at Munich's Amerika Haus to a standing-room only crowd, was followed by a lively debate. He also led staff and fellows through his "Tower of Babylon" game and took part in a question and answer session with Carson Fellow Donald Worster.
