Comparing 2 Pultec EQP-1A plugins - one from Universal Audio included in the UAD Spark subscription, and the new SD-PE1 plugin from Slate Digital included in the All Access Pass.
Pultecs are one of the most legendary EQs about. They're also incredibly versatile but where I think they really shine is on the mix bus! I've been using the UAD EQP-1A Pultec plugin for over a year and it sounds great! However, how does it compare to the new Slate Digital SD-PE1 plugin?
In this video we listen to both plugins on the mix bus of 2 different mixes - a pop/punk mix, and a softer pop/rock ballad.
Let me know what you think - does one of the plugins sound better than the other?
