In this video, we show how to install hood struts on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma. This hood strut kit will work 2016-2020 Tacoma, the link above also has the kit for 2005-2015.
This kit is by Spiker Engineering who did an amazing job. We love the fact that you don't have to make any measurements for the brackets to be mounted. The mounting brackets use clear marks that are already on the truck and then the hood strut determines the top mounting place.
Our favorite part is that you have the option to lift the hood an extra 6" above the OEM height, this is great for extra light and access under the hood. This is definitely a must-do for all Tacomas.
