Nanxiang Old Town is a historic district located in the northwest of Shanghai.
It was established during the Song dynasty (960-1279)
Nanxiang town has a couple of attractions include the Nanxiang Temple Pagoda, twin brick pagodas that were built in around A.D. 900. The temple was burnt down and rebuilt in other place of the town
The town is most famous for its steamed buns, or xiaolongbao, which are a traditional Shanghai delicacy. Nanxiang Old Town has preserved much of its traditional architecture, including narrow alleys, stone bridges, and courtyards. This is rebuilt Nanxiang temple
