Beyond the Bangkok Street Food
Beyond the Bangkok Street Food and Shopping, there is a lot to explore in Thailand.
Phi Phi Island is one of the best tourist attractions in Phuket Thailand.
Phi Phi Island is located in the pristine waters of Andaman ocean. It's easily accessible through a speed boat or a big boat from Phuket or Krabi.
A one day tour from Phuket is the best option to visit the island. I chose the speed boat tour as it's faster and it takes you to many remote locations which are not accessible via big boat.
My video will also showcase the amazing thai street food of phi phi Island.
Phi Phi Island are a group of small small islands, so here is what you can expect in the tour :-
The tour company van can picks you up from the hotel lobby early in the morning and drops you to the pier (light breakfast is offered at the pier) where you hop on to a speed boat.
The speed boat takes you to the following locations :-
1) MAYA BAY -
A beach that became famous through shooting of Hollywood movies is shown from a distance as it's closed for tourism.
2) PHI PHI LEY -
A stop in the shallow waters of phi phi ley where you can swim by jumping out of the speed boat. When you return to the speed boat, light refreshments like fresh fruits, cold drink, flavoured milk, muffins and snacks are served on board.
3) VIKING CAVES -
Limestone cliff caves are shown from a distance, the caves are home for treasured bird nests. These nest are used in age old chinese medicines.
4) SNORKELING -
A pit stop is made for snorkeling, all required equipments are provided for this fun activity, one can see colourful nemo fish and marine life.
5) MONKEY ISLAND -
As the name suggests this island is full of monkeys, they are shown to you from a distance, These monkeys can swim and they eat crab !
6) PHI PHI DON -
This is the biggest island of phi phi, there are many hotels, restaurants and shops on this island. A freshly made thai lunch is served in a seaview restaurant via the tour company. There is a choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. I enjoyed the stir fried vegetables with fried rice alot. It's a classic thai street food favourite.
7) BAMBOO ISLAND -
This is the last stop in the tour where you can enjoy swimming on the underdeveloped island beach. This white sand beach is also a perfect location to chill and relax.
The trip back to Phuket via the speed boat from bamboo island will take approximately an hour.
You are transported back to your hotel upon arrival at the pier.
I chose Phuket Sail Tours for my trip (due to its fantastic ratings) and thoroughly enjoyed my phi phi island tour.
