BIKE AND PEDELEC DEVELOPMENT
Whether it's a road bike, a mountain bike or a city bike, the bicycle is experiencing a real boom as the pandemic season has changed travel and leisure options. This ensures an increased demand for bicycles and pedelecs, which can only be met by more and more innovations at shorter intervals.
Our bike professionals, who have been busy with bike developments long before the pandemic, work efficiently and technologically advanced – true to the motto "from bikers for bikers". They support with the necessary know-how to identify trends and significantly shorten the time-to-market.
Our portfolio ranges from concept design to frame, component and drivetrain development to prototype production and acceptance, both for the individual elements and for the complete bike.
Niko Lehtonen's team has turned their hobby into their profession. We presented our two bike concepts for the first time at EUROBIKE SHOW in Frankfurt. One of them is the EDAG NFK eGravelbike, developed in cooperation with partners – a sustainable approach utilising Natural fiber reinforced plastic for the bike frame. By utilising the material flax fibres we showcase an alternative to carbon frames.
Besides that we presented also the EDAG Fast Track Bike at the fair, an example for a really quick product development process, which took only two months.
